Jang Min-jae renewed his free agent contract with the Hanwha Eagles.
Hanwha Eagles re-signed free agent pitcher Jang Min-jae (33).
Hanwha announced on the 21st that it signed a contract with Minjae Jang for a contract period of 2+1 years and a total contract value of 800 million won.
The details of the contract include a guarantee of 400 million won for two years with an option of 100 million won, and if the contract is activated after that, an annual salary of 200 million won and an option of 100 million won for one year.
Hanwha, who was selected by Hanwha in the second third round (22nd place) in the 2009 rookie draft, is a Hanwha 'one-club man' who has never changed teams. He played a necessary role for the team, going back and forth between starting and intermediate relief.
Hanwha explained that it judged that Jang Min-jae's game management ability based on his excellent ball control and ability to play long innings would be helpful to the team.
Also, outside of the game, it is expected that Jang Min-jae's affection for the team, sincerity, and serious attitude toward baseball will serve as an example for young players.
Minjae Jang said, “I am happy to be able to play with Hanwha next season as well,” and added, “I am grateful to be able to stand in front of the fans who always give me their generous support.”
He continued, “There are many young and promising juniors on our team, and I will do my best to serve as a veteran role model for those juniors. On the field, I will go on the mound with the mindset of becoming a player who can help the team at any time when the team needs it.” He added. 19가이드03
